Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach

The good: * excellent location. A 3 minute walk from all the hustle and bustle of the main drag without being right in the middle of it and right across the street from awesome beach. * Super easy and convenient car rental service onsite. *Plenty of work space in the lobby for laptops. * Good internet connection. * Large , comfortable beds. * Good service. * Solid breakfast included and given how expensive the area is, it saves quite a bit. The not so good: *the rooms are on a smaller side. *The shower pressure and faucet pressure is quite low and would be borderline unacceptable to some people.

My family chose this hotel because it was the most wheelchair accessible option we could find in Waikiki. The accessible room is big, with ample space in the bathroom, grab bars in the shower and by the toilet, and a folded shower seat. The only issues in the room is that the bathroom sink is a little high for someone in a wheelchair and opening the door to get out of the room would be hard without help. We didn't use the pool or pool lift, mostly because the angle of the buildings meant the pool itself never got any direct sunlight (although the deck did, depending on the time). The beds are comfortable, although definitely on the softer side. The breakfast buffet was okay, but not great. It usually had some type of egg (scrambled, breakfast sandwich), bread & bagels, yogurt & granola, juices, and fruit (typically apples, pineapple, or banana), and occasionally sausage, bacon, or waffles. There's filtered water stations in the lobby, which was really handy and you get a bottle of water upon check-in to use throughout your stay. The gym has a small weight rack, a cable machine, treadmills, bikes, and one peloton bike. The beach is a short walk away and I preferred being on the farther end of Waikiki where it's not quite as busy with crowds. Everything is very walkable and there's good food and coffee options nearby. The staff at the hotel are really great and were very accommodating and helpful with our requests and accessibility needs. Would definitely recommend for anyone in a wheelchair or mobility issues.

I stayed here for a week on vacation and really enjoyed my stay. Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms, complimentary breakfast (3F), self-service laundry (3F), 24-hour gym (3F), and a great location near the beach, markets, restaurants, and TheBus (public transportation). You can also check out beach towels and chairs for free. Tips: Elevators can be slow during breakfast hours, so if feasible, I recommend taking the stairs when heading out or going to breakfast (3F). The self-service laundry has three washers and three dryers and was often in use during my stay, so you may want to plan laundry during off-hours. Also, depending on the showerhead setting, the water pressure may feel a bit weak. Overall, a great location and an excellent stay.

Large rooms, brilliant service and great location. 100% recommend this hotel to families. We upgraded to larger room for family of 5 (3 teens) and there was plenty of room for us. Front desk service was amazing, friendly responsive and helpful. We arrived early for both stays and staff very generously checked us in. I will return purely based on this (after 11hr flight it was much appreciated). Parking staff were helpful and friendly too. The only downside is pool / breakfast area was under renovations so we didn't get use of pool and the temporary breakfast room was over crowded. It wasn't a deal breaker because beach is down the road and much much preferred. But if a pool & breakfast matter to you, definitely keep that in mind.

Overall, the price is reasonable. For a three-star hotel, it’s acceptable. However, the surrounding area is quite noisy, and it can be hard to sleep well at night. Breakfast The selection is limited, and since the dining area is outdoors, there are quite a few birds flying around. Location About two blocks from Waikiki Beach, so it’s still a convenient walk to the beach. It works if you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay near Waikiki, but don’t expect a resort-style experience.

There are a LOT of options in Waikiki, and I felt that this was the sweet spot for us RE: cost vs value. The staff are really what make this place shine. I was here for 6 nights for work, and the team moved me to a room that would be better for working in (desk, quiet area). I loved that this hotel is at the end of Waikiki, which meant it was quieter and didn't have insane foot traffic. Super easy to get out to the highway, very close to the zoo and beach. Easy enough to get Ubers and Lyfts (although the local cabs are also very good.) I liked the little food spots nearby that made it easy to pop in and out for each eats. The rental car business in the building is great, and you can get free towels and beach chairs from the front desk (as well as water bottle refilles). The breakfast is OK-- after day 5, I got breakfast elsewhere nearby. It's not a new property, but it doesn't necessarily show its age. Beds were comfy, pillows are pretty squishy and thin.

Great resort with clean rooms and friendly staff. Great beach too. Even though I prepaid they take a deposit that takes close to a week to be returned. The eggs at the breakfast were undercooked. Not worth an $80.00 breakfast for two.

Everything was great except their shower in the room was really weak. Also the carpet stinks a little. But other than that, they gave us a nice oceanview room and the free breakfast had simple menu but it's definitely worth trying! I really liked their flo water stations, the free water bottles they gave, and the beach chairs and the boogie board you can borrow from the front desk! I wish they had hot tubs...
